With this year being incredibly difficult for many families, they began delivering food boxes early this year and have seen ever increasing demand since the first lockdown in March. Many families have seen both parents face redundancy and LWC is working tirelessly to ensure that they do not fall through the cracks.
Nearly 30 children and over 150 elderly adults have been identified as needing support this Christmas. They have fundraised to ensure that all of these Children have presents on Christmas day and the elderly receive communication and cards from members of the community.
Although Christmas has been covered, support is still desperately needed as families and individuals face new challenges in the New Year.
