We had the pleasure of attending the RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year awards on Friday 19th November to celebrate with finalists including Alex Hurn, Managing Director of Sillence Hurn.
Now in their 8th year, the RICS Young Surveyor of the Year awards recognise the inspirational and diverse young surveying professionals in the UK. They showcase the highest standards of professionalism and innovation within the built environment and provide an opportunity to identify the leaders of the future.
Alex was shortlisted for this year’s RICS Matrics Young Building Surveyor of the Year category in recognition of his achievements and contributions to the industry.
Alex Hurn said: "We had a fantastic evening at the RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year awards. Congratulations to all award finalists and winners, including Joe Campbell of Rider Levett Bucknall who took home the Building Surveyor of the Year award, and Mirona Tomala from Gleeds who won overall Building Surveyor of the Year. It was a huge privilege to be shortlisted for the award's category and a great showcase of the fantastic talent across the disciplines. Thanks to the Sillence Hurn team for their support, RICS committee, and all involved in organising a great night."
