Our Senior Building Surveyor, Steve Willington completed a reinstatement cost assessment for an arcade that houses 27 small businesses across 40 units in Brixton.

The Role:

Reinstatement Cost Assessment

The Brief:

To inspect a Grade II Listed arcade housing 27 small businesses across 40 units built onto an existing Georgian house between 1923 and 1925 with an Art Deco Architecture Egyptian façade.

The building was restored with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Project Outcomes:

We provided a bespoke elemental breakdown of these Art Deco properties forming a well-known Brixton Market complex. The site consisted of considerable historical resonance and we communicated with the local traders. A nonstandard insurance valuation was completed and issued within 7 working days.
