The client instructed Sillence Hurn to carry out a building survey prior to purchase, we assisted in drawing up a programme of works, submitting and gaining listed building consent for the works, improving energy efficiency and contractor selection and management.
To fully understand the scope of works, our team met with the client to establish a thorough brief for the scheme and level of refurbishment.
Our surveyors were to advise on and monitor compliance of specified works, in accordance with planning and building regulation approvals.
Where this cottage is a Grade II listed building, our team was sensitive to design restrictions and structural complications, adhering to specific requirements laid out by the client.
Our surveyors provided a detailed delivery programme, engaging with third parties on behalf of the client, and prepared tender reports in addition to carrying out a full measured survey of the property to enable production of existing floorplans and elevations.
