Chris Pearce, Project Manager at Sillence Hurn, completed the Spartan Trifecta challenge last weekend in aid of Cystic Fibrosis and returned with not one but five medals!
The Spartan Trifecta is a trio of races that includes a series of obstacles and sprints. To earn the Trifecta Wedge participants must complete three of the following races in a year:
- Spartan Sprint or Spartan Stadion — 5k, 20 obstacles
- Spartan Super — 10k, 25 obstacles
- Spartan Beast — 21k, 30 obstacles OR Spartan Ultra — 50k, 60 obstacles
Chris, who lives in Southampton, rose to the challenge and took on all three last weekend; the Spartan Sprint, Super, and Beast at Nutley, East Sussex. That’s nearly a full marathon combined with 105 obstacles!
Chris completed the challenge in memory of his friend Adam who passed away with cystic fibrosis in 2018. Cystic fibrosis is a progressive disease that causes lung infections and affects the ability to breathe.
Chris said: "Thanks to everyone who supported me and donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. It was a fantastic, well-organised event and I look forward to doing another next year - just not in one weekend!"
