Sillence Hurn welcomes two new department heads

Sillence Hurn has welcomed two new heads of department following a successful Q1.

Sillence Hurn has revived its Residential Surveying Services in line with continued plans for expansion, welcoming Residential Building Surveyor Jonathan Halifax back in March, and now Chloe Hylton as Head of Residential Services.

Having previously worked for Legal and General Surveying Services, Chloe is RICS qualified and has spent ten years in the industry. From mortgage valuations to home surveys, Chloe has managed groups of 18 surveyors on a number of projects across London and the South.

This is Chloe’s third profession, serving in the RAF as an Intelligence Analyst before starting her journey in lettings and eventually surveying. Having spent the majority of her surveying career at big corporate firms, Chloe is keen to bring her industry knowledge and expertise to Sillence Hurn.

An advocate for diversity and inclusion, Chloe is determined to continue evolving the Residential Building Surveying team by creating equal opportunities for surveyors of all backgrounds.

Additionally, Amy Hutton now heads up the marketing department working closely with marketing coordinator Kelly Bellerson.

Prior to joining Sillence Hurn, Amy was the Marketing Manager at Lifestory and later Countryside Partnerships covering all aspects of the marketing journey with a focus on luxury properties across the country.

Amy holds both a degree in Financial Services and a masters degree in marketing, beginning her career in property marketing at Pegasus in 2018.

Managing Director Alex Hurn commented: “It’s been a fruitful first quarter and a strong start to the year. I am pleased to welcome six new team members who have already begun to make their mark in the industry.

“I’m excited moving forward into the second quarter as we continue to work towards company-wide sustainability goals, developing our talent pool, with no intention of slowing down any time soon.”

Matthew Britton, Sam Liang, Jonathan Halifax, and Aston Gordon join Chloe and Amy as the company expands into Q2.

With its well-established business acumen, forward-thinking, and modern approach to the industry, Sillence Hurn are continually looking for building surveyors, account managers and project managers. You can find out more on our careers page here.
